The Air Jordan 13 “Court Purple�?is a January 2022 release of the retro basketball shoe in a colorway that shows love to the team uniform colors of the Los Angeles Lakers. The “Court Purple�?edition of Michael Jordan’s thirteenth signature shoe is yet another popular colorway that pays respects to the Lakers—the first being the aptly named “Lakers�?makeup that was released in July 2019. Sans any official Lakers branding, the “Court Purple�?nonetheless features the Lakers�?color palette on its design. The “Court Purple�?mimics the color block of the Jordan 13’s original “Bred�?colorway by substituting the red accenting for purple along the heel and mudguard. The black mesh upper is treated to a 3M reflective finish. A holographic emblem denoting Jordan’s “Black Cat�?nickname, meant to resemble a panther’s eye, can be found on the heel. A Court Purple embroidered Jumpman is found on the tongue and white “Jordan�?detailing appears on the vamp. Black midsole walls complete the look. Release date: January 8, 2022
